Advertising Standards Authority

Founded over 40 years ago, the Advertising Standards Authority is the advertising self-regulatory body with responsibility for promoting, regulating and enforcing the highest standards in marketing communications in Ireland.

We worked together with the Authority to create a brand identity that reflects their brand proposition that caters for their 3 target markets: the public, advertisers, and government. 

After a brand workshop with their steering group, we focused on their brand essence which was ‘consumer protection, evolving standards, trust earned’. The logo mark contains a consumer being protected in the letter A, which also stands for advertising and authority. 

We created a flexible brand identity that can worked across all platforms (print, digital & social). Their branding can be formal for the regulation side and more human for any public campaigns. The brand guidelines includes examples of the tone of voice and visual such as colours, typography, icons, illustration, photography, and brand usage examples. 

Also we worked together on their new name, changing from the  Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI) to their new shorter name,  Advertising Standards Authority.
